Dr. Aleta V. Ashford has had a successful career in the corporate arena, in addition to completing Business degrees at both the master’s and doctoral levels. In her early career as a Business Professor, she used stories to make her lectures engaging and fun for her students, earning her the nickname "Dr. A." Her most significant contribution was her ability to inspire her students to pursue their passions. After five years of teaching, she took a leap of faith and followed her lifelong dream of becoming a writer. In 2018, she founded Incessant Publishing, LLC, which launched her first book, "Thirteen Friends To Avoid," under the Ava Knows brand. Dr. A.'s bold move not only helped her achieve her goal of becoming a published author but also led to a newspaper column, conferences, and several speaking engagements.
Dr. Ashford wears many hats – she's a wife, mother, author, columnist, motivational speaker, professor, and trainer. Above all, she is a devout Christian and the founder of Grounded Jeremiah 29:11, a faith-based initiative designed to bring women together.
In addition to her work in ministry and a successful teaching career, Dr. Ashford is a valued employee of Siemens Energy. She is the Program Lead for the Engineering Development Program, a certified CPR instructor, and the creator and lead instructor for the Dare2Lead Training Series, which is offered to Siemens Energy employees worldwide and has taken her to places as far as Germany and South Korea to facilitate.
Through her books, training, conferences, column, podcast, and social media outlets, Dr. Ashford has never stopped teaching. Instead, her classroom has gotten a lot bigger.
